Ok, so for anyone that has any knowledge of Forced Induction, I have a question for you. As most of you know, I have an 08 VW GTi which is Turbocharged from the factory. I have been constantly producing about 15 lbs of boost, or at least that is what the Boosts gauge says, between first and second gear. Last night, I installed a Neuspeed CAI. But now, my boost gauge says I have dropped about 5 PSI. Anyone know what this could be caused by?
Any explanations would be greatly appreciated. _________________ "Money frees you from doing things you dislike. Since I dislike doing nearly everything, money is handy"

did you reset the computer...mine knows when parts have been changed out and is always slowly pulling boost over time...I have to reset it every few weeks...I just have CAI, a stiffer spring in my wastegate actuator, and a bigger throttle body... _________________

I did reset it after thinking about it overnight.
I got back up to about 12 psi but still not where it was before. _________________ "Money frees you from doing things you dislike. Since I dislike doing nearly everything, money is handy"

Nope, I checked and re-checked all of the clamps and hoses.
Although, lately I have heard a bussing noise coming from the Boost gauge. I think that is why I got the No buzz T fitting for the install but didn't see a need to install it. I am going to re-install the gauge to see if there is a problem. _________________ "Money frees you from doing things you dislike. Since I dislike doing nearly everything, money is handy"

| I think is talking about a hose like what the Tib had that ran from the engine to the intake tube. |

I'm sure he wouldn't neglect a giant hole in the CAI w/o proper connection lol
Its possible that the turbo doesn't need as much air pressure now that its taking in colder air that's denser since even in colder temperature psi on turbo's drops a bit.
Is the car running weaker due to this?
I say don't worry abt it too much, and it should probably change back during the summer.
I mean how many other technicalities is there to it other than just hooking the CAI on and resetting ure comp, unless maybe if u did a dyno it might be able to fix that. _________________ "If I wanna hear from an ass, I'll fart!"
